Mark Letcher – Director

Mark Letcher is the Director of Climate Works Ltd, and has worked in the sustainable energy field for more than 17 years.

Mark has extensive experience of developing and managing technical and non-technical projects on sustainable energy, carbon reduction and climate change. He has a particular interest in helping clients to develop solutions and responses to the issues of climate change, energy security and fuel poverty. He has worked extensively on technical projects to do with low carbon buildings, carbon modelling, and renewable energy, as well as the development of policy within local and national government.

Mark is also an experienced trainer and facilitator and has developed and presented courses on planning for zero carbon development and renewable energy.

Mark holds a BSc (Hons) in Applied Physics and MSc in Environmental Resources. He is a qualified SAP, NHER, EcoHomes and Code for Sustainable Homes Assessor. Mark is a director of Westwoods Woodfuels South West Ltd, and board member of Operation Noah and the Greater Bedminster Community Partnership.

Liz Vosper – Manager

Liz is responsible for finance and administration in Climate Works. As a trained facilitator she also assists with the facilitation of workshops, events and training courses.

Liz first qualified as a psychiatric nurse before working in the community and voluntary sector with those with special needs.

She has since worked as a researcher for community development charities in Bristol and South Gloucestershire and as learning support assistant. Over the last 15 years Liz has planned and facilitated a wide variety of workshops and seminars on a range of social and community issues.

Alice Ferguson – Associate

Alice is an Associate of Climate Works Ltd and a freelance researcher, policy analyst and trained facilitator. She has worked extensively with CWL since its launch on a variety of policy, research and facilitation projects, and has a particular interest in fuel poverty, affordable energy, sustainable construction and planning and sustainable transport.

Her recent work with us includes a project looking at the development of the renewables sector in Somerset, a project for the Energy Efficiency Partnership for homes on energy efficiency in the private rented sector, and the facilitation of a national fuel poverty conference.

Alice holds an MSc in Environment and Development and MA (Hons) in Social Anthropology.

Annie Warburton – Associate

Annie is an Associate of Climate Works Ltd. She is a trained facilitator, skilled in leading workshops with diverse audiences, including policy makers, community groups, cultural leaders, businesses, educators and researchers.

Currently regional manager at Skillset, the sector skills council for creative media, and formerly Chief Executive at ArtsMatrix, Annie has over ten years experience of devising, designing and facilitating seminars and events.

Recently she has worked with us on the planning and facilitation of two conferences for the Energy Efficiency Partnership for Homes.

Annie holds an MA, BA (Hons) in Economics and Philosophy from University of Cambridge, and is studying for an MSc in Public Policy Research at the University of Bristol.

Rebecca Hogarth – Associate

Rebecca is an Associate of Climate Works and a freelance researcher and technical consultant. She has a particular interest in the application and ownership of renewable energy technologies by community groups, as well as the technical aspects of integrating renewable energy into the existing power distribution and transmission network. Rebecca has worked extensively for the Ellen MacArthur Foundation providing analysis of energy and fossil fuel consumption in the UK in the run up to its launch in September 2010.

Her recent work with CWL includes analysis of small scale wind turbines as part of project looking at community scale wind farms, financial modelling and an examination of the structure of social enterprises.

Rebecca holds a BSc (Hons) in Physics and is currently completing a part-time MSc in Renewable Energy and the Built Environment at the Centre for Alternative Technology.
